This is the best I could do for a sunset image of the Palouse in 2017. Each day, as the sun set, it would sink into the thick layer of smoke that hung over the region from wildfires all across the West. The smoke was so thick it obscured the sun. This one I like because I was able to adjust the contrast to get some detail in the hills, and also enhance the crepuscular rays coming from the clouds. The little glint of sunlight on the reservoir in the foreground doesn't hurt either.
