I have a fascination with rolling hills at sunrise. Early morning fog can add an interesting layering effect, making the distant hills look like ghosts of the foreground hills. Rendering the image in Black and White, or some other monochrome hue, accentuates this effect. This is a view from Fountain Hills, Arizona, of the hills of the Tonto National Forest, looking past the Beeline Highway, and over the Verde River. Out there, somewhere, the Verde runs into the Salt River. I'll be playing with this image in the future, rendering it in various hues, and adding them to my new monochrome collection.
