This is a view of Waipio Bay, on the Big Island of Hawaii, as a storm passed by. I like that I was able to get a glimmer of sunlight on the hills of the Kohala Forrest Reserve across the Waipio Valley. And the speck above the cliffs isn't dirt on the lens. Look closely and you'll notice it's a dragonfly that was hovering around as I photographed. No doubt it was feeding on the mosquitoes, which had been feeding on me the whole trip. Now that's life in the food chain. Taken in May, 2012, with a Pentax K5.
